I design and make pocketbooks and limited edition booklets. These include a whole range of designs and colours and come in several sizes, including my best seller -  a 4x4inch handmade book that really does fit into your jeans pocket.

What would you use your pocketbook for.......? Inspiration catcher.

All my books are made in small batches or as one-off orders and commissions. Most of my handmade books have concertina style pages and fold flat for writing, sketching, drawing, notes and memos and as inspiration catchers for creative ideas. The pages are made from Fabriano Tiziano paper, which is suitable for watercolour, ink, pastel and collage and smooth enough for ordinary pens. All my designs are tested out on my own walking, writing and sketching trips where they are subjected to wind and weather, the scratchings of twig pens and brushes made from found objects.

I also create limited edition books of prose and poetry, some with original artwork. 
 Commissions and special orders 

I have many happy customers who have commissioned me to create particular designs and colour ways especially for them. These have included memorial books, wedding books, comments books for special events and also books like the ones you see here but made in colours and patterns for individual customers.

Turnaround for special orders varies, as it depends on me being able to gather materials and then to allow for making , drying and pressing. Prices are costed on the complexity and size of your order and quantities ordered plus the materials required.
